Nissan Motor India has revised the pricing on the Micra CVT automatic hatchback, which now starts at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the XL variant, while the premium XV grade is priced at Rs. 6,73,500. This not only makes the Micra automatic more affordable than before, but also makes it the most affordable CVT premium hatchback currently on sale in the country.
Making the announcement, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “The Nissan Micra CVT brings new levels of technology, performance and style to the premium hatchback segment in India. Adding further, he said, “As Micra is produced right here in India, we are able to better serve the market in terms of faster, more efficient delivery and improved localization levels. This allows us to pass on these benefits to our customers in the form of a revised, even more competitive price for our popular premium hatchback.”
In comparison to the Nissan Micra CVT XL variant, the Honda Jazz S CVT trim is priced at Rs. 7.33 lakh, while the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Delhi automatic is priced at Rs. 6.86 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The Micra CVT has received a price cut of around Rs. 40,000, as compared to the price tag of Rs. 6.40 lakh of the model, when it was launched last year.
On the XV trim, the Nissan Micra CVT automatic comes loaded with Smart Key with Push start stop, steering mounted audio controls, auto air conditioning, speed sensing door locks, rear LED combi lamp, follow-me home headlamps and 15-inch alloy wheels. Safety features include ABS, dual airbags, EBD and Brake Assist.
In terms of power, the Nissan Micra uses a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol that is tuned to produce 75bhp of power. The car also comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 63bhp of power. Both engines come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the CVT is only available on the petrol.
